Fritz Gerber studied at the Technicon of Pretoria. He was greatly influenced by his father, a dental technician who studied in the UK after World War II.

Fritz started off working in London with Prof. Levinson in his Harley Street practice. He then opened his own Dental Laboratory in Lower Richmond Road, Putney.

In 1996, after seven years in London, Fritz moved back to South Africa and founded Brooklyn Dental Laboratory. Since then he has been working closely with Dr. Susan Nel and Prosthodontist, Prof. Hannes Nel.
