She qualified at the University of Pretoria in June 1986. For seven years she managed her own Dental Clinic in London. Rita decided to return to the land of milk and honey in 1996 with a keen interest in especially endodontics.
Endodontics is technically a very difficult procedure. To enhance precision, all work is carried out using a Zeiss microscope. The purpose of the procedure is to clean and shape the canals removing debri and bacteria. Rotary nickel titanium files are used, the canals are irrigated and treated with O3 (ozone) to kill any remaining organisms and to promote healing. The canals are then sealed, ready to be restored.
